Kawasaki KF450F
The 2011 Kawasaki KF450F Motorcross bike is Kawasaki’s top of the line dirt bike. Year after year, Kawasaki’s green bike leaves the others in the dust and this year’s model only improves on Kawasaki’s lead. This year’s improvements include a more powerful engine, improved suspension settings, a revised seat, better shifting, improved ECU settings and a more efficient fuel injection system. This lets the bike have more superb handling on jumps and turns.

The KF450F engine is a 449 cc four stroke one cyclinder engine with a reinforced crank case. The engine is tuned for high performance with a broad power band that has the torque curve set just under the wheel spin threshold. The larger air flap box this year helps keep water and mud out the engine better than ever. The bike comes with the same bridged bottom piston that Kawasaki puts on its factory race bikes. This provides a stronger and more efficient piston design than the previous models. The cylinder head has a short height and double valve springs allow stable operation of the valves. The crankshaft, similar to Kawasaki’s factory bikes allows for faster response at lower rpms.

The new ECU allows for easy starting. With a single kick, the ECU starts, then the fuel pump and finally the fuel injector. No battery is needed to start your Kawasaki KF450F. The KF450F comes with a tool that allows the rider to reprogram the ECU as needed for the type of track and jumps the rider is doing. The radiators this year feature densely packed cores which reduce the effects of outside water and mud on the bike cooling system.

The five speed transmission offers riders more choices in using lower gears. The clutch plate has been redone with a thicker covering allowing more direct response when using the clutch. New exhaust pipes meet the new 94db requirements for racing. The front and rear disc brakes are redesigned with an improved braking material that improves the bike’s performance in difficult stopping situations. The rear shocks feature increased dampening settings allowing improved impact performance after jumps.

The KF450F comes in one color – lime green – as usual for the 450. The bike seat features a higher grip surface and an improved seat material that should last longer than previous materials. The bike frame is wider at the ankles and slimmer at the seat area to allow the rider both an optimum grip and a slim riding position. This bike is designed to support a rider up to 185 pounds. The front tire size on the bike is 90/100-21 and the rear tire size is 120/80-19. Seat height is about 38 inches. The bike this year weighs just under 250 pounds fully fueled.

The 2011 Kawasaki KF450F cannot be beat for motorcross performance. This 2011 will set you back about $12000, but it is worth every cent. Your lime green and black bike will also certainly stand out in the crowd. Your KF450F is waiting for you at your nearest dealer.

When you think about a riding vehicle like the Yamaha YZ450F, it brings to mind the equipment that comes with the name. This bike reveals a major endorsement of a very well put together hog and takes you for a ride of your life. Note the curves from stem to stern; this motorcycle can perform under the most dangerous of conditions and come out smelling like a rose.

Everything’s new; from the new four-valve setup, to the 36mm intake valves (at the front instead of the rear of the bike), to the 30mm exhaust valves and valve springs, the new version of the Yamaha YZ450F, should give you an even more stable road-friendly ride. The shut-off 10 second valve for fuel, should the bike be turned over on its side, and the G-meter for perfect fuel distribution which also includes the new aluminum muffler (now twice as large as in previous models), and the Kayaba Speed Sensitive fork, all are said to be great improvements and well worth the wait.

Since 1998, this bike built by Yamaha, has steadily been improved upon because of the changing pace of evolution in motocross racing. Now, going into its sixth generation of improvements and changes, this bike is even more sought after as a wonderful way to have fun for people of all ages. Its also a special kind of bike because of its light weight maneuverable position, allows the rider a smoother transition from road to hill and ramp to slope and back. This full four-speed bike since its improvements now only weigh 233 pounds (down from its original weight of 250).

Its not everyday you get to sit one of these inviting bikes; when you find one that you like or that suites your feel, buy it! This one with all of its updates, could be the one to have; you won’t know until you ride this fully equipped, magnificently maneuverable machine that has a top speed of 78 miles per hour – called the Yamaha YZ450F. Its not for everybody so compare this one with one that has only minimal support and no updates, and you’ll choose the Yamaha every time – Yamaha, now that’s a name!

Since Honda has released the new Honda VT750S it has many people talking. So, what are they saying about this new version of the bike? Well, keep in mind that this bike has a lot to live up to. The line before it is a very successful line of bikes. How does this one measure up? To sum it up in a few words: Very good.

The people at Honda have taken the economy into account and have drastically reduced the price on this model. This drastic reduction makes the Honda VT750S affordable for the average Joe and Jane. Many people are thinking that Honda is making these bikes in China. The truth is, they are made in Japan and the price point is a shock for a fine made bike produced in Japan.

They have worked on this bike and it is flawless. The injection system allows the bike to start with ease and the response that the throttle gives off is awesome. First gear is an awesome ride without the buckle when you shift. Let’s talk about the tank of fuel. This tank reaches full at around ten gallons which is perfect for the city commute. This might not be the greatest highway bike because of the small tank size but for the city it is great.

The seat is amazing even for longer trips. No need to feel pain when you ride this model. The suspension is rated very good and strong. This adds to the over all comfort of the ride. Many people who have tried this model have said that it one of the best models to ride. The seat for the driver is padded very nicely. If you were a passenger it might not be as great on the pillion back rest. Again if you are using the bike for a short ride this would not matter all that much.

The brakes are very easy to use and they stop very well. They use a front disc and twin caliper. One the rear there is a brake drum which is second to none. It is nice to know that when you apply the brakes you do not have to worry about them grabbing so hard that they throw you up or back.

Over all the Honda is a great bike and a bike that you will be very proud of. This is one that you will want to show off to your friends, family and co-workers. Everyone will want to take a spin on your new Honda VT750S. There is nothing like the feeling of pride when it comes to a brand new bike. This one will offer you pride of ownership for sure. You owe it to yourself to check out the all new Honda and bring it home today. You will be happy that you did.

Honda’s New VFR1200F Combines Style With Comfort, Power & Technology!
When Honda released the new Honda VFR1200F, many wondered how it was going to be received by the motorcycle enthusiast community. Offering the qualities one would want in a sport touring bike, you’ll also find the power and torque one would desire in some of today’s most exciting sport bikes. The DCT transmission, impressive styling and the technology one would find in some of today’s more high-end cars are on the beginning of the impressive attributes you’ll be able to experience upon throwing a leg over this wonderful machine.

At first glance, the aggressive styling reminds you of Honda’s CBR series of bikes with an forceful front stance, aerodynamic wind screen and tight to the frame fairings for added assertive design. As your eyes continue across the bike, you’ll find plenty of space for your legs to be straight down at a stop due the bike’s engine location while the tail section doesn’t climb too tall above the rear tire. The single sided swing arm is easily compared to the luxurious Ducati style, and the single exhaust is located low and away to help keep the hot exhaust from affecting the rider. You’ll also appreciate the more “racier” feel of the seat and clip-ons, allowing the rider to position their weight more over the tank and create a better center of gravity for more accelerated turns.

To further separate itself from many of the other manufacturers, the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) helps put the Honda VFR1200F into a category of its own. Designed with three different riding levels, you’ll find there is a setting for each rider and environment. The “D” mode allows the rider to enjoy a more relaxed ride by offering smoother shifts, and the engine’s computer also selects the shift points to help maximize fuel efficiency when needed such as riding around town or in busy traffic. A manual mode also allows the rider to select the shift points without the need of a clutch. Utilizing shifting buttons on the left clip-on, comparable to the “paddle shifting” you’d find in some sports cars, the rider is in full control of the gears using either the index finger or thumb of the left hand. Lastly, the “S” mode allows for a continuous feel of power while holding gears longer and requiring a minor blip of the throttle on downshifts.

Enhancing the technological feel of the bike, the guage panel features all the information a rider could desire including the fuel level, gear position indicator, clock, coolant temp and outside temp indicators, and speed all on LCD screens that flank the tachometer.

Once you combine the careful ergonomics of the bike with the smooth DCT transmission and assertive styling, you’ll find that Honda has produced a product in the Honda VFR1200F that is sure to distance itself from it’s BMW and Kawasaki sport touring competitors while still maintaining Honda’s desire to put a hard-hitting and sportier bike in it’s consumer’s hands.

2011 Husqvarna Range
Husqvarna Motorcycles, owned now by BMW and not affiliated with the outdoor tool company, continues to upgrade its line at its Italian offices. Husqvarna is a leader in championship motorcross racing in Europe. Using the money provided by BMW, the 2011 Husqvarna Range includes the all new TC449 motorcross bike. This bike replaces the former TC550 model.

This bike is quite different from the 2010 model. The exhaust pipe exits on the right side of the bike and the split exhaust header from the former model is gone. The side panels and radiator shrouds come in one continuous piece that fits smoothly onto the bike. The graphics are new and designed to hold up longer under the effects of motorcross riding. The new overall design makes the bike look more sleek and modern. The heavier parts of the bike have been moved closer to the center of gravity to increase the stability of the bike.

The four valve dual crankshaft engine is also new. The engine is manufactured in Taiwan and uses BMW technology. The TC449 engine has a 13 to 1 compression ratio, delivering most power for the rider in this bike range. The new engine uses a Keihin electronic fuel injection system. The 2011 has an electric start that makes the bike easy to start. The TC449 does not have a kick start lever. The five speed transmission provides easier shifting for the rider. The bike does good job of letting the rider know when it is time to shift. The movement between gears is smooth and efficient regardless of riding conditions.

The bike comes with two ignition maps: hard power and soft power. You cannot change the power map after you begin riding. The bike must be stopped and turned off for at least 15 seconds to change the map. A new coaxial traction system reduces the load transferred to the rear wheel under acceleration. This increases the stability and traction of the TC449.

The height of the seat is about 38 inches. The seat is also new for 2011, made out of a more comfortable riding material. Plus, the sleeker size of the bike makes it easier to ride. The fuel tank holds 1.93 gallons including a see through half gallon reserve tank. The front tire is 160 x 21, the rear tire is 215 x 19. The weight of the bike without fuel is 238 pounds, lighter than the formal model. Yet the TC449 handles like a heavier model due to its new design.

The bike comes in Husqvarna’s typical red and white coloring. This bike maintains its white frame and red cylinder head covers from former models. The TC449 comes with dual caliper brakes that are 8% lighter than last years model. The 2011 Husqvarna Range TC449 is a bike unlike any other 450 on the market. Husqvarna is developing accessories for this new bike. This bike will cost you $13000, a very reasonable price to be riding the new leader in motorcross bikes.

BRP or Bombardier Recreational Equipment was formed in 2003, an offshoot of the former Bombardier, Inc. This company, still headquartered in Quebec, is credited with inventing the personal snowmobile and watercraft. For 2011, BRP is adding to its Can-Am side-by-side line by adding the Commander 1000 series to its Commander 800 line.

The 2011 Can-Am Commander 1000 adds to the BRP Powersports Range side-by-side class by featuring a 85 horsepower 1000 cc liquid cooled single cam, four valve engine. Despite this engine being the most powerful in this line, due its electronic fuel system, this vehicle is also the most fuel efficient in its class. The engine uses a throttle by wire system that provides even fueling to the engine, even if the driver’s foot jumps up and down on the gas pedal in rough country.

The vehicle features separate front and rear suspension systems. The front system features improved dive control with the largest diameter shocks in the industry. The rear system has its pivot points in front of the rear wheels ensuring the rear wheels only move in a up and down direction. This provides one of the best rides in the industry.

The bike features a rear area for cargo with dual levels. The cargo area comes with an easily activated tilt dump bed to ease unloading of cargo. The rear gates are easily removable and the panel between the two levels is removable as well. This cargo area can carry up to 600 lbs.

The interior cab of the Commander is designed for comfort. The seats adjust without tools and can be removed for use as camping seats. The steering wheel has an adjustment range of 30 degrees. The cab features 2000 cc of storage in three separate areas in the cab. The cab comes with holding bars in front of the passengers for support during use.

The Commander comes with two keys. One limits performance to 40 mph and the other is unlimited. There is also a third option that limits the vehicle to 25 mph. The Commanders all come in yellow. The side-by-side comes with four 27 inches tires on 12 inch wheels. Each wheel has disc brakes with twin-piston calipers. The vehicle has a 10 gallon gas tank and comes with 240 watt lighting.

The 1000 is able to tow up to 1500 pounds. Yet it is small enough to fit in the back of most full size pickups for easy driving to an off road site. The Commander 300 comes in two other models, the X an XT which add extra features for off road driving including a winch, heavy duty front bumper, mud guards, digital gauge and customized steering wheel.

To purchase your basic BRP Powersports Range Can-Am Commander 1000 with set you back about $13000. But, remember, you will have the most powerful side-by-side in the industry at your beck and call.

When purchasing a bike you cannot go wrong by putting your hard-earned money down on a Suzuki. The Suzuki M109RZ is packed with the essentials the experienced or intermediate rider requires and demands. It makes little sense putting out money for a small cc engine when just starting out. If the rider has some miles under his or her belt the Suzuki M109RZ Boulevard is a wise investment. With 1783 cc under you, the bike will be a joy to ride knowing you have reserve power at the twist of your wrist. This liquid-cooled twin is a keeper.

It has a user friendly seat of of 27.8 inches, letting the rider touch the road with ease. The Suzuki fuel injection system is tried and true and will not let you down even on the coldest mornings.

The 5 speed transmission has a wide power band, so the rider will not have to shift gears excessively. There are no chains on this bike to keep you busy greasing and occasionally replacing. It comes with the always reliable shaft drive. Don’t worry about the shaft wobblies because you will never even feel it. Tipping the scales at 764 pounds of curb weight keeps it competitive in this department.

The 18 in. front and rear tires are tubeless, giving you access to checking the tire pressure with no problem. The back tire is beefy enough to give great stability. A 4.9 gallon fuel tank makes sure you are ready for any long trip you want to take.

Though not cheap in price, you are getting a lot of bike for your money along with the bulletproof reputation of Suzuki. You cannot get a better price for the bike you are getting from other manufacturers. Those looking to move up from say, an 800cc Suzuki M50 or C50 will enjoy the transition. The braking is more than adequate as well as the ease of taking those corners.

The Suzuki M109RZ Boulevard features a new instrument panel with a digital tachometer often left off comparable bikes. There is an LED indicator light showing the gear position you are presently engaged in. It has been relocated from the handlebars to the top of the headlight area for easier viewing. Many times brain freeze causes the rider to forget what gear is engaged. This will not happen with the Suzuki 109RZ.

When it is time to move up or get your first bike, there are no competitors to think of that give you a better bike for the price. The Suzuki name continues to live up to its fine reputation.
